This is a case of a 77 year old, diabetic female, from San Pedro, Laguna. She was admitted at ICU last April 2010 due to diarrhea and hypoglycemia. Patient developed bed sore during hospitalization.
Patient was brought home with bedsore and the family still hoped for a miracle. Her bedsore can be described as 2 fists put together. The attending physicians gave the relatives a poor prognosis. He told the relatives that, if the patient dies, she will die with her bedsore because of her poor condition. The healing process will be very difficult due to her age as explained by the attending physician, she was bed ridden, malnourished, has poor appetite and poor medication compliant.
The doctor even suggested a skin graft to cover the wound but since there is no tissues underneath the skin graft they didn’t pursue the procedure.
November of the same year, Gano iTouch products were introduced to the family. November 2010, they started giving PIOIR Ganoderma Coffee 3 in 1. and after a few weeks, without the patient’s consent, one of her daughters added 2 caps of Excellium in her morning coffee.
